Ed Hewson
Edward Hewson, a principal partner in HB, is a Seattle native who began his multifamily real estate career in 1989 as an associate of institutional property brokerage Marcus and Millichap, and began purchasing apartment buildings soon thereafter. Ed has degrees in Economics and History from Connecticut College, where he was President of his class, and graduated Harvard Business School’s Owner President Management program in 2003. Ed and his wife Lisa have been married for 30 years and live in Seattle with their three children. Ed enjoys skiing, hiking, and coaching sprinters and hurdlers, many of whom have gone on to become state, national, and collegiate champions.
Jon Breiner
Jonathan Breiner, a principal partner in HB, is originally from Connecticut and moved to the Seattle area to attend college at the University of Puget Sound, where he graduated with degrees in Economics and Mathematics. Jon began his commercial real estate career with Paragon Real Estate Advisors, where he and Ed quickly became investment partners and joined forces, ultimately purchasing Paragon from the remaining company founders in 2010. Jon graduated from Harvard Business School’s Owner President Management program in 2010. Jon and his wife, Sharon, live in Seattle with their two children. Jon is a dedicated skier and also enjoys sailing, hiking and coaching soccer.
